Wisdom Teeth Woes

Jessica has had her wisdom teeth removed this morning...First off,let me just tell you that a healthy nineteen yo girl does not take to the "no food or drink from 10pm to 10am" thing easily...it really is said easier than done! Yesterday we went for her check up with the doctor who was to "put her under" and my,was that a mission to find his office..who would have thought that our little hometown now has so many doctors and such a huge hospital!! I was happily driving over some islands in the road and had tons of fun doing so until my daughter calmly told me I was supposed to drive around them...who would have thunk..? Then I had to fill in some  questionnaire that asked whether she had some heart disease and  I wrote "madly in love" and she was not very impressed with me when the doctor told her there was just no medicine for that disease just yet...! He gave her a pill to drink as we left home for the op and a few minutes later she told me in a little girl voice that the pill was making her feel sleepy..she had trouble pronouncing her "R's" and "S's" and I was giggling all the way to the dentist's. When she had to get out of the car my athletic young girl was stepping high like a show horse and saying some incorrigible things that  had me giggling even more...Then she sat down in the dentist chair and they couldn't find a vein on her arm...then I left to go and buy her prescription medicine...30 min later I got back and she was already coming to and asking why it had all happened so quickly? Poor child mine..Then the doctor gave her this:

Inside the tooth mouse container...

This is where you don't scroll down unless you would like to see what Jessica's bloody, freshly extracted, wisdom teeth looks like....

..Sorry,but now we can all have closure on this subject...

The End

  1. It is not a fun thing to go through and she will be uncomfortable for several days...funny isn't it that they are called wisom teeth yet few have them grow properly and have to have them removed.

  5. We have had some bad experiences with wisdom teeth in this family. So glad everything went well. Remember - no straws. Dry sockets are the worst! Love the heart problem response : )
