Quick,Quick,Look To The East!!

I woke up to the sound of thunder this morning and hopped up out of bed (why does thunder always do that too me?)  to see this glorious sight....yellow skies, sun a shining brightly, rain pouring down and I just had to run outside in my pajamas to take a picture standing in the rain!! This was the best morning shower I have had in a long time...You'all should try it!!

I Do Declare..

I Love Sunrises!!

I am going to lodge an official complaint,in writing if you will...,that....,too my mind....

Sunrise is over way to quickly every morning!

  1. Hehe ... beautiful!

It's raining here in the Desert too as we speak - one town, which averages 70 mm a year, had about 130 mm in 24 hours ...

... Hope the Orange River doesn't come down in flood, I want to do a 3 day canoe trip at the end of April ...

    1. Hiya,be sure to post some pics of the rain in the Desert! Lucky you to look forward to a canoe trip down the Orange River! With all that rain the floods should be happening quite soon an then your trip should be ok.

  2. Hi Liesl .. gosh wish it was raining here - and who'd have thought I'd have left South Africa and sit in England saying I wish it would rain??!!

The canoe trip Graham is suggesting sounds fun though - I never got to the Orange River .. oddly I was thinking of the Kunene, and we couldn't go far upstream due to the rapids ... let alone the guns across the river ...

I'd love to see some more pics - a shower in the morning sunrise - just beautiful .. cheers Hilary

  3. Hello!
I love sunrises too and you got some great shots. Are those stars in the upper left corner? What a wonderful sky, thank you for getting these photos even if you got wet doing so!
